i have a P4 2.8 ghz 1.5 gb ram sony dru-710a burner 250 gb hd i use anydvd dvd decripter and dvd shrink it wont let me burn this movie can anyone help please

Do you have the latest version of AnyDVD ver 5.5.4.1
Open it. You will now have a fox in your task tray. Insert the DVD into the drive. Wait till the fox flickers pale red and dark red.
Now open DVDdecrypter. rip, shrink & burn.

yes i do have the latest AnyDVD and i also used dvd fab to put it on my hard drive but when i use shrink it right away opens a error message and says it cant do it dvd decripter i can not get to work please help

Is Madagascar an arccoss sony encryptio then you should look for pcgedit it will describe the tasks involved to rip the movie

I used CloneDVD and AnyDVD, and it burned without a problem.
I couldn't get Shrink to work either.

That is the link on making a PSL file. Also do a search for "DVD Decrypter PSL" on Google or something. There are sites that post/host the PSL files. If it is in text, just copy & paste the text in notepad and save as "moviename.PSL".

I had the same problem but someone from another thread recommended after you decrypt the dvd using decrypter run the decrypted files in vobblanker which will clean the files and put them in another folder. Use those files in that second folder in dvdshrink and it should work (worked for me).

Rip using DVDD in file mode. No PSL needed, tho I did have some pack header errors in VOB8
Open the files in Nero Recode and use that to compress and burn. I tried to use Shrink, but it kept erroring out on me with this error "Overlapped I/O Operation in Progress" Thats a new one on me.
The above process worked for me.
Beer is good...and stuff!

I have read and read threads for 3 days and im not getting it,i am not able to backup Madagascar dvd.i am useing DVD Decrypter 3.5.40, DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 i also have AnyDVD running in the background.In decrypter i am in mode iso.it saves it as an mds file is that right.after DVD Decrypter is down i open up shrink and go to open files and i get an error failed to open file video_ts_ifo.
can any help or explain

I just wanted everyone to know that I had the same problems with Madagascar. I tried the vobblanker. It works. I processed the whole movie using blanker then dvdshrink actually took the whole movie. Ofcourse I read about the vobblanker on here...and just wanted to say thanks guys. You guys always have the answers.

If you use DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD, you have to change the I/O to "ElbyCDIO - Elaborate bytes". This is done in "tools=>settings" In the I/O tab.
If DVD Decrypter works using File mode & VobBlanker witout AnyDVD, don't use AnyDVD with it. If you plan on using AnyDVD, it may be better to just drag and drop the VIDEO_TS folder to your HD from the DVD.
Also, make sure you DO NOT use the "remove annoying adverts and trailers" option in AnyDVD. This does not always work.
The errors are probably showing up in Shrink because the ARccOS/Ripguard was not corrected/removed properly.

one of the things I did to copy madagascar is I use the DVD Decrypter then I used Instant copy from pinacle it cost about 10 dollars at walmart since I have Nero 6.6 and DVD Shrink I was able to rip the movie in DVD Shrink but I wanted all the features when you use instant copy from pinnacle go to settings and take away the french language and subtitle, then tried to record the movie at the lowest speed possible bellow 6x I did at 4x and the movie and features came fine, then when I finish the disc with no css I made an extra copy with Nero at back up full disc but again at the lower speed, good luck I tell you the video looks fine and all the features look fine too.

They have released a new version of DVDFab Decrypter. It fixes the "Madagascar" issue. This is taken from the change log in DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.5.8:
