I have DVD X copy platinum version V.4.03.8. I have used it for a while with minimal problems. Now all of sudden reading and writing discs takes about half the normal time and they do not work correctly when finished. Thee discs freeze up or skip when I play them. Why would it strart doing this all of a sudden? PLEASE HELP!!!

we need more info:

what is your pc stats?
what media are you using?
do you have an error log that you can provide us?
have you recently defragged and if not when was the last time?
Do you frequent p2p sites?
Is your virus software current and maintained?
Have you ant spyware issues of late?
Is there anything added to your pc like software recently, or when did you notice it not working properly?
have you done a clean install recently?

Hi there,

The problem with DVD X copy platinum version V.4.03.8 and all those 1 click software, they all burn at MAX SPEED.

Never burn at max speed, use an new software that will let you choose the burning speed.

Use quality media (Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim) and do not burn faster than 4x.

This should eliminate most of your playback problems.

what media are you using? Sony DVD-R 8X
do you have an error log that you can provide us? NONE
have you recently defragged and if not when was the last time? I do it regularly

when was the last time then was a clean install done.This means you reformatted your whole pc and then reinstalled everything back on.

Sony DVD-R 8X : thats the speed type.Whats the brand then that you are using and are you also burning at 8x then?
