I have been making back up copies for the last 3 or 4 months now.All recent releases. What I have been doing is using DVD Shrink only. Not DVD Dycripter first , just shrink. The rare time when I have come across a sony release I have had a problem and used some thing else.
Question , As long as my copies are coming out alright is there any reason I should change my routine?

No you can keep the same routine. It's all a matter of what works for you and your preferences. As you've seen shrink can't handle some of the newer copy protections - it hasn't been updated since early last year. Decrypter will handle the new copy protections (region 1 that I know of) up to Lords of Dogtown. No longer updated either since spring of the year. DVD Fab Decrypter has came along to take it's place but doesn't burn or do a few other things decrypter would do.
Why not invest in AnyDVD? It's a driver that runs in the background to make your copy software think there is no protection. It stays on top of all the new copy protections + plus it works great with shrink!

Thanks for your reply. I had AnyDVD for a while and found it to be good ,but it does cost money. As long as DVDFab works I think I'll stick with that for now as it's free. However should it come down to really needing AnyDVD I won't heitate to buy it.

DVDFab decrypter has a new update as well. DVDFab Decrypter v2.9.5.8

To handle issues like Madagascar.

Uninstall old version prior to installing new version.
