I have some 8mm analog tapes I'd like to put on DVD. I know this device isn't state of art, but it's what I have at the moment. These are home movies, trips, family parties, etc. How do I get the size down to a reasonable size? I have 160G free space and W2K, 1024 Ram 2g AMD Athlon. But not sure what software to get/use. Thanks

Hi gfschef, welcome to aD,

You haven't said what you've done and what you're having trouble with.

Are the files on your HD ?

What format are they in ?

What size are your files ?

Are you trying to put them on to a CD ? A DVD ?

IF you have files in an ISO image OR a VOB format, you could use a proggy such as DVD Shrink to compress them.
