I am not sure if they are fake or not, but do know that MCC manufactures great media. Highly recommended.
Someone will let you know the specifics shortly.

i suspect they are the real deal, MCC makes MANY of the Verbatim branded media and are terrific manufacturer...
one way to tell Verbatims is by looking just outside the inner hub, much like the Taiyo Yudens...you need to look for something along the lines of :
"ZD1321-DVR-X47B" (this will be laser inscribed backwards-meaning as if you were to read it by looking at it's reflection from the top side) :)
if it starts with "ZD" you should be ok...the above serial number i gave you is on my Verbatim 8x DVD+R MCC003 coded...the dash format should be similar~ let me know...

@kivory666
I knew you would spot this thread and verify for the individual. I thought that I remembered you saying that MCC was quality.

@9mm
hehe, well, i know Taiyo Yudens like the back of my hand, but, i've used over a thousand Verbatim branded dvds to know a thing or 2 about them as well~ :) my Verbs all have the "ZD" coding around the hub...i apparently haven't gotten any "fakes" yet because ALL the ones i've used thus far, have that "ZD" beginning :)
give it a check mav80 and let me know~ :) verifying media is my hobby, it's amusing for me...LOL
