Does anybody know if there are DVD players out there which allow me to play DVD's with MP3's?

I have like 1200 CD's converted to MP3 and to make sure I don't end up again with a whole load of CD's I want to use them on DVD. But my current DVD player won't allow me to play them, and recognises the DVD disk as a movie disk, and won't play MP3's.

You can use dvd architect (part of vegas+dvd) from sonicfoundry to create dvd's of music using mp3's as the source but all of the mp3's will be automatically trancoded to ac3 (dvd compliant) format which is very time consuming. There is a demo and manual available for download at their website if you are interested. www.sonicfoundry.com
