And a much simplier method to bypass Sony's ACross protection.

Rip using the ISO Read mode in DVD Decrypter

Open DVD Shrink - Go to File - Open Disk Image

Analyse - Re-Author - then burn with Nero or similar

before i got AnyDVD i tried that but DVD Decrypter would not do certain movies such as stealth or bewitched. AnyDVD has soved my problems and made my earlier post somewhat obselite but i do still have some problems with certain new movies when it occurs the process that the link at the beging of the thread still works as long as i turn AnyDVD off

colw is referring to Macrovision's Ripguard Protection. This is newer than ARccOS, but similar. I have posted two guides for ARccOS:

Both the manual approach and the PSL approach are easy and do pretty much the same thing.
