Hey i was wondering if anyone out there could help me in a step by step process to take a Dvd (rental) and rip it to my hardrive, then compress it, then put it on a dvdR R/W?
First i got dvd decryptor and put the movie in a folder called "The Ring". It made 8 VOB files numbered from 0-7 and its is approz 6.7 gig. Im using windows XP if that helps too! ANy advice/help/rants/flames are useful so thnx for ur time =D.

In most countries, it is not legal to copy rentals (although in Finland, where AfterDawn.com is based, it is) for your own use.

But generally, the copying depends on the movie -- read our DVD-5 and DVD-9 guides from our article section:
