mod chips dont ruin ur PS2 . they can allow you todo multiple things play cracked games put software on etc.

I have never had a ps2 mod chip as i dont want to wreck mine. I do how ever have a chipped PSone.

im not an expert on slims i prefer the brick ps2's. I dont think there would be any way unless you can but a hard drive in and buy HD loader (authetic copy|) you would be able to use ur pc to put backups and orifinals on the HDD )
