problem ripping games for h20 modchip

I have tried dvd decrypter,Alcohol 120, blindwrite,clone cd,dvd rescue, dvd cloner(seems to be mainly for movies),isobuster, nero, roxio easy media creator,gamejack,smartripper, and I am starting to think that my copies may be fine it is somthing else. I have a 35001 ps2, proffesionaly installed modchip h20, Inow own about 20 or so dvd coasters ha ha, and only one game that will work as if the game is origional. I copied sly cooper 2 without a prob.(My own game)so my mod chip must work. sometimes the screen will show me the playstation logo and then a black screen, or somtimes it just goes to the browser screen an says disk read error, and sometimes it will actually say there is a playstation2 disk in the machine but when i press X it just keeps coming back to that same screen.
Please clarify one thing when these programs 1:1 copythese games, are the copyright parts copied as well?
So I hope sombody has solution for me or at least a steer in the right direction, the modchips.ca website basicly is eager to take your money but as for support they would rather not help at all. they barely give you enough information at all about installing the chip or making it work. please help because you are my last resort. Creating backups is supposed to be legal but yu still need to tiptoe around the who;e thing i feel.

Sorry about the novel but i am at my wits end with this.
