Hi, i'm new on this site so im not even sure if im on the right thread for what I need (apologies if im not). So anyway, heres the deal:
I have Linux downloading at the moment (free software, legal download :)), but its in RAR format. How do I open this? I'm also getting a free video to show me how to use Linux, since I've never used it before and it looks difficult, lol.
I also have a lot of files on my HDD that I need to put on a DVD, since my HDD is somewhat temperamental at the moment (hence me changing to Linux). How do i copy all of these files onto a DVD-R?
Please help =]

First of all this sounds like illegal activity:P
But I'll help anyway:) Wait for the whole download to complete and then once it has finished donwloading completely, open the directory where you saw hundreds of rar files, basically these files all have ur movie file within them but it's been split up. What you have to do is use winrar to open only 1 rar file, any of them and then extract whatever is in them. WinRAR will automatically unrar the remaining segments from the other files and you will be left with ur video file, reply back to me when you find out what format the file is in e.g.ISO, AVI, MPG. And then I'll be able to help you further. Hope this helped so far.

edit--
BTW I think there's a thread that already answers ur question, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/81566 it's a sticky on this forum.
