what cheat disc work best with swapmagic3.6? gameshark?AR max? others?

topic...please tell me since i dont want to waste money and found out it wont work with swap magic 3.6usa

well in my case both ARMAX and Gameshark v5 (broadband enabled) works with swap magic 3.6 plus. I have a V7 PS2.

ARMAX (JALANEME found this solution)
-Insert ARMAX
-Pick the codes
-When it says "Please make sure the game disk is inserted and press -OK" press eject and put in Swap Magic CD or DVD (depending on the game). and press X.
-**THIS IS IMPORTANT** -- When the black screen comes up that says "Loading game..." Unplug your memory card.
-When SM loads up, swap the disc with the back up game. And hit X
-Game should load up and put the memory card back as soon as the game is loaded.

For Gameshark Broadband enabled
-Load GS
-Select the codes
-The tray will automatically eject
-Put SM Disc
-Swap SM with game backup when its prompted
-Hit X

Both of them works....i have tried both of them. And have both of them. But i just use ARMAX just cause GS takes too long to have codes come out for newer games.....

ARMAX (Action Replay Max), GS (GameShark), SM (Swap Magic)

hey polopyr, what does taking the memory card out do?

do you have to do that in order to backups to load with cheats? cause I never got that working...

ummm never really read what Jalaneme said about why we need to take out the mem card when using ARMAX, but yes YOU HAVE TO DO IT! when you want to use cheats with backup games. it works for me.

Remember, take out the mem card when the black screen comes up saying "Launching game" and stick the mem card back again as soon as the game (not swap magic screen) is loaded up.

I don't have to remove the memory card when using Gameshark v.4 with Swap Magic 3.3 or 3.6.

well.....gameshark v4 does the same thing with ARMAX if i dont take out the mem card....it doesnt load up the game...it freezes at the swap magic screen.....

maybe its because i have a v7 ps2....

It didnt work for me
Everytime i try to do it
it took me back to the ps2 menu
and then said please insert playstation or
playstation 2 disc

take the memory card/s out! especially if you have swap magic 3.6, the reason why it's necessary becasue swap magic is able to load programs from the memory card, if you leave it in while loading the backup with cheats it takes you to browser screen. make sure all of the memory cards are out from the PS2 not just the first slot.
