DVD RW doesnt read god of war disk,HELP!

K so i was gonna backup my copy of God of War,i put the game on the DVD-RW drive but the drive doesnt read it,it just makes clicking noises and then it just stops reading it.It reads everyother game fine but not god of war.I have a LITE-ON DVDRW SOHW-1633S.As far as i know its dual layer capable so i donno wat da f\/|< is happenin.So plz help me out.

it can do dual layer DVD's but i have never heard of the DVD they are refering to.
It says DVD+R9

also check and make sure your firmware is up to date on your burner.
Also so you know if you do not have a mod chip you can not
play a dual layer DVD back up in your PS2. ONly a good mod chip can do that, not Swap Magic.

You may want to provide more detailed info
What burning program are you using?
What brand and speed dual layer media?
Is it the original it won't read or the DVD you are trying to back it up on?

Also, unless the modchip patches DVD9 for you you'll have to use the Toxic DL Patcher to play it (otherwise you'll have problems reading the second layer).

Windows didnt like my copy of God of War much either, but I used Alcohol 120% and it copied it ok.

You can also use DVDDecryptor, that will work as well.

My burner is a Pioneer DVR-108D flashed to a Piodata DVR-108.

I dont know anything about swapmagic, so I cant commend on whether or not it will work with that, patched or unpatched.

well im looking for a firmware update.Also,i was gonna rebuild god of war to make it a DVD5 but for a fing reason the PC doesnt wanna read the disk,yea u get the picture.ill check back later.Also DVD Decrypter doesnt even recognize theres a disk in also happens in my computer.The DVD drive appears to be empty.

well i got the firmware update and installed it but it still doesnt read it.Now it takes even longer to try to detect it and still clicks.Could it be that its damaged?Cuz i remember a power supply problem that i had.Could it be that?

well i finally found the problem.i just needed to change a setting in DVD Decrypter that enabled my drive to read DL disks.Thanks for all the help anyways

always the simple things that piss you off the most huh.
Glad to hear your set. But to answer the above question
Swap Magic will not play dual layer back ups
patched or unpatched.
DMS4 and Matrix Infinity chips will play them-no patch needed
use ToxicDL Patcher for any DVD9 Ready chip and it will patch
the file with the same program used by DMS4 chips to play your
DVD9 Back up. Toxic is the company that makes the flash upgrades
for the DMS4 chips so that is no real news.
