Does BAck up dvd games harm lens?

i need to know that does the back up dvd games i use can harm ps2 lens? or they damage it? they are purple from down i use memorex DVD+r and wat does dvd-r have in difference?

Its as simple as asking, Does Ps2 disc ruin your lens, Disc and ps2 game disc, whats the difference :P So just to make sure if you understand the answer is No, only 5% chance it would.

No cheap media uses crappy dyes which wear down your PS2. Memorex is horrible. Good DVD-R's won't wear your laser down any more than originals.

If you're too lazy to read, use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, Sony, TDK, Maxell, Sony or Phillips DVD-R's. Avoid Memorex, Staples, Imation, etc.

blank media will never be as good as originals. They can get close but never 100% as good. So to some degree they will wear out the laser more but not by much more (if you stick with good quality media that is).
