If the adress bar disappears then click view and leave the mouse on toolbars for a second, then you can see bars you can switch on/off. I dont know what you mean by program icons, like on your desktop??

Well you see, virus activity is usually a little more severe than that! I really cant explain why it happens though, and it only happened since kazaa was installed??

as i can recall i came across a web page that actually showed you how to use kazaa to gain full access over someones computer, not just their shared folder. it turns out there was a slight 'bug' in the program. therefore i have vowed to not use kazaa again.

That being infected by a program inside Kazaa has no merit now. The program was inserted before Sharman Media pruchased Kazaa, now it just comes with regurlar ad and spyware, but that can be easily remedied by using Kazaalite.
This is an amazingly imformative site with many places to find information and help. Please support it.

If you have a high id you cant adjust it to anything else cause its made up from your ip address! if you have a low id then you must find out why. for instance, connecting through a router or firewall!

I have also had the same problem with my pc shutting down for no reason. Usually another side effect of this is when the pc reboots and you reconnect kazaa one of the downloads has been removed from the pc and my pc is fine.

Ye thats another major kazaa problem!! For some reason your computer just restarts and your downloads are gone. This is quite common under Windows ME!!

Kazaalite does not have a virus but if you are downloading Key generaters a lot of them do, in fact I found 4 in one afternoon. They are worms and Trojans and a virus may not be that severe at first but the damage increase over time as the replicate themselves on your system. To repair go to www.sophos.com and download a fully functional version of their virus scan and use it. It has about 17,000 more viurs definitions than does Norton's Virus scan.
