HERE DO NOT POST QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MOVIE> EVERYONE THAT HAS SUCCESSFULLY BURNED IT PLACE HOW RIGHT HERE FOR PEOPLE TO TRY.
i used DVD Decrypter to burn it mode > ISO >write, then i used DVD Shrink and went to file > open disc image and open the .iso file MADAGASCAR, then i burned it to disc using DVD Decrypter again.
WORKED PERFECT (When i used shrink i burned the movie from the dream works screen and through the credits. I also burned the Penguins movie and special features onto another disc to have so the movie was 100%.

Get AnyDVD 5.5.5.1 at http://www.slysoft.com and download it. Free 21 day trial.
Run it in the background. Put in the DVD Madagascar and allow AnyDVD a few second to work its magic.
Now open your ripping program and rip and burn as usual. If this does not work there is some other issue at hand, and we will need your burn log and system specs.
Happy Thanksgiving!

i've used VOB Blanker a few times but only in it's most basic form, ie feed it a source directory and tell it where to dump the output...and click 'process'.
see if there's anything in here re Madagascar & VOB blanker to help you... - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/2/256443
or see if there's anyything in jaguargod's guide here (lengthy!) re VOB blanker that you need - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/255980
as for me, Madagascar isn't out here yet, i'm hoping that dvdfab decrypter (free) will breeze thru this movie as i'm not overly keen on fighting with these protections, i just want to protect my investment with an absolute minimum of fuss..
in fact here ya go - just use dvdfab decrypter - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260320
(i stopped subscribing to Madagascar threads as they're all over the place, now i'm glad dvdfab will breeze thru it.phew)

Yes, you're right LOCOENG. Burned with DVDD. Guide said to set-up DVDD before I went to shrink. Then after Shrink, I burned with DVDD. So I guess I should have said:
#1--DVDFab Decrypter (rip)
#2--DVD Decrypter (one time only set-up)
#3--DVD Shrink (transcoded)
#4--DVD Decrypter (to burn)
Hope I didn't mess you up brutus04.
Really enjoy "After Dawn" I learn so much. And wow do I have a lot to learn.
Thanks

I don't understand why you are copying and pasteing other peoples posts to this thread. Can you explain the purpose?

sorry, there are so many Madagascar topics that people could not copy the movie so i wanted to make a post with just the solutions people came up with so that this post could maybe become a sticky so people dont keep asking how to do it. now there is about 10 solutions under MADAGASCAR SOLUTIONS so people could come to just this topic to solve their problems.

I used CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD 5.5.5.1 to make a copy.
If I burn the complete DVD the quality isn't that great. If I do movie only It's great.
I Did Nero Recode2, CloneDVD2, InterVideo DVD Copy 4 choked on it. It would always give the the NOT RESPONDING problem regardless that AnyDVD was running.
The full movie will play in all my DVD players, but won't play on some friends SONY DVD players (what a surprise!).
Anyway InterVideo DVD Copy 4 went down 75% in my book.

Simple :
Download & Install AnyDVD 5.5.5.1
Then DVDShrink 3.2.0.15 to Rip & Burn
Problem Solved!
Total Time approx. 16min.
x8 DVD-R
Anyone who says otherwise works for "Dreamworks"

Just finished backup of Madagascar.
Method used:
Rip with DVD Decrpyter using ISO Read mode
Open the resulting Disk Image in DVD Shrink
Let Shrink analyse the movie
Use Re-author to do main movie only - get rid of all unecessary languages/audio streams etc.
Burn the movie using Nero or similar - easy.

I tried several times to burn Madagascar. I know its been covered 100 plus times here. But I must be doing something wrong. I am just really new to this. Computer as well. I used Any DVD then tried using Shrinks. Got error message. Used DVD Fab and then Shrinks and got an error. I used DVD Fab and then Nero 7. File was to big. I don't know how to remove files safely without losing the movie. French and Spanish etc. So if someone could cover it one more time I would be greatful. Thanks so much.

@247dad
There is a great guide in my signature for using AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. It should explain it step by step. There are also guides for DVDFab and DVDdecrypter and DVDShrink at the first link in my signature located on bbmayo's website. These are excellent.
Make sure that your latest AnyDVD is 5.5.5.1 and you should not have too many problems.
Cheers and happy turkey day.

Thanks for all your help. used the Guides you mentoned and burned off Madagascar without a problem. Was so easy with that help. Almost makes you feel pretty stupid how easy it was. Anyone having a problem should back up to the reply you posted to me and follow those instructions. 40 minutes after doing so I was enjoying some quiet time while my kids watched the movie.
Thanks again.

There is no question that the key is 5.5.5.1 AnyDVD. I had 5.5.4.1, and IT WILL NOT WORK. If you update to 5.5.5.1 and then run DVDShrink, it works flawlessly. I just watched the burned copy and it worked perfectly. I didn't want to bother with VOB, DVDDECRYPTER, DVDFab, just update AnyDVD and use shrink. It burned in 25 minutes.

i did Madagascar effortlessly last night with DVDFab Decrypter 2.9.6.0 (free) then Shrunk with DVD Shrink as normal. what i did do was use my dvd-rom/cd-write combo drive (like io do for most of my ripping); didn't try to rip it on any of my dvd burners as i'd done the movie already but it's always nice to have a couple of optical drives..as if a movie won't play ball on one drive you always have a choice of drives to use..
