Hi, my ps2 games dont play in colour its just black and white..When this happened the first time, I just shut the whole PS2 and then plugged it back in and then it shows up in colour..

But then after sometime it would turn to black and white again!!..

Also I would like to know whether it is suggested to keep the Reset button at red colour when you are not using it or should i shut it off completely every time I use it.

Any help would be Greatly Appreciated.

What are you using to boot your backups, a chip or swap magic? It sounds like you are using a chip. This is happening probably because you are playing a PAL game on your chipped NTSC PS2.

You chip is supposed to automatically recognize if a PAL game has been inserted and then adjust the framrate to match your PS2's native NTSC framerate. I would check to see if you chip has any bios upgrades available to fix this problem.

If you already have the lateset bios flash, probably what is happening is that once your PS2 has booted in NTSC mode, it will stay in that mode and no long auto detect for other modes. If you have to switch off your PS2 to get your games in color, it's not a bad thing... It's just something that you are going to have to get used to when playing your backups.

If you are not using a chip... I'd have to ask you a few more questions.

Hey man, thanks.
I have a pre modded ps2 which I bought and have been playing back ups ever since..Its the first time this is happening..I have to keep shutting the power off and then starting it again for the colour to come back.
