Is there a better way to edit out the noise in the audio part of an Mpeg2 than this........?

1] Extracted audio from video in Adobe Audition.

2] Edit out the noise [clicks].

3] Load the original Mpeg2 in Mpeg Video Wizard.

4] Mute the audio part of the original Mpeg.

5] Load the extracted, edited WAV file into Mpeg Video Wizard.

6] Combine it with the muted video and save them as a complete video.

Yes, there is a Little easier way....

Run "Mpeg video Wizard" and go to "Tools" and Load your Mpeg file into the "Mpeg systems Demultiplexor" and click "save" which will seperate your Mpeg file into seperate audio and Video files...

Now you Load the audio into your audio editor and do your Filtering and then save the Audio as a "Mpeg-1 layer-2" audio file....

Now go back to "Mpeg video wizard" to "Tools" but to "Mpeg Systems Multiplexor" and Load in the Video file and the new Mpeg-1 Layer 2 audio file and click "Save" and it will combine the audio and Video files back into a Mpeg file.....

It is slightly easier than the way you were going it but not much ...

Good Luck

I think I may do your idea, UNLESS I can end up with better quality with another idea I thought of.....please tell me if this is valid.

Instead of doing your or my plan AFTER creating the mpeg songs, would the quality end up better if I.......

1] Open the project in "Mpeg Video Wizard" from which I am creating individual mpeg2s of each song with fade in/out & titles.

2] Then take the edited audio files, which, of course I extracted from previosly created mpegs.

3] Then put that audio file into the project.

4] Then create a NEW mpeg with the edited audio file.

Same question if I did your suggestion of using the Demultiplexor and Multiplexor tools and combining the new Mpeg-1 Layer 2 audio file with a newly created mpeg.

[This and other info and suggestions you've been giving me has been unbelievably helpful. Thank you.]

Yes, that way sounds like it should Work but i don"t think there will be any differance in Quality because for the Most Part "Mpeg video wizard" will not effect the Quality of your Video files when editing because it is a Native mpeg editor so it usually doesn"t need to re-encode your Files unless you are Mixing Files of Different Properties or are adding Effects and Filters through the whole Video file in which case it would have to re-encode the Files to add these Effects.....

Good luck
