Multiple game discs with flip top?

How would a flip top work with a multiple-dvd/cd game like a big rpg

because it would tell you to switch discs at the end of it i assume, but if you put in the back up cd/dvd the ps2 would reject it right?

If a game doesn't allow you to save right before the end of a disc( like the final fantasies on ps) then there would be no chance of running the next disc successfully right?

if you had to swap and had the right equipment
like an aftermarket fliptop or magic switch/slimttol
type set up, then it would not reset and you should be fine.
If not you may be able to use Swap Magic inbetween discs and
do it that way too.
