Hello,

I am sooo confused. I've just got a new laptop with a CD/DVD writer, and want to be able to play films/shows that I've downloaded, on my DVD player. Can anyone help me with what kind of formats I can play on my DVD-player . It says on the front it plays DVD, CD-R, CD-RW and MP3.(It's a Denver DVD-142)

What kind of file-formats should I be looking for when downloading. do I have to convert anything into any other format?.. I've seen a link on this page that tells you how to convert avi2DVD? would this apply to me?... (specially interested in LOST and Desp. Housewives..)

I'm very thankful for any advice and help I can get. Feel very lost!!
