i decrypted polar express with dvd fab and then used dvd shrink and it seemed to burn fine. But about 10 to 15 min in the movie it freezes any sugg?

What type of media are you using, i.e. media brand and type?

What speed are you burning at. Most of the time the description of the problem that you list can be attributed to poor quality media, burning too close to the edge of the media, and or burning too fast. Until you become familiar with your media's capabilities I would not recommend burning faster than 4x.

Set the media target size to 4300mb. This will keep you from burning too close to the edge of the disc.

Use quality media like taiyo yuden, verbatim, maxell, never memorex.

Can you forward past that part of the movie or does the entire thing just freeze. Check the dvd for scratches. Also it may just be a bad burn.

im using sony DVD-R and burning at 6x. If i go to the scene selection i can get past it but not by ff the dvd. I'm going to try burning at 4x now. To see if it gets better.

Don't forget target size and media type.

These things make a world of difference in the playability of the DVD.

Hi guys; I'm having a rough time trying to backup this one.... The surface of the DVD seems kind of weird, like it has some kind of epoxy or something... Anyways, when analyzing with shrink, it constantly freezes; tried also clone DVD & the movie was almost 4 hours in length (constant freezing & repeating frames).

Any suggestions??

Sounds like there is something wrong with the disk it self. Try running AnyDVD and DvDDecrypt in file mode. Rip it to you HD and then try to shrink the files.

If that doesn't work I believe that you may need to try a new dvd
