i have a dell computer with a nec1100a dvd burner. it only writes to dvd+r and +rw. the problem that i have is that i've been trying to burn a double layer movie. after hours of trial and error, i finally got the first half of the movie burnt and it plays on my ps2. i used dvddecrypter to rip it and split it into two separate folders, ifoedit to edit ifo files, and nero 5.5.10.15 to burn the dvd. however, when i tried to burn the second half of the movie, i did it the same way as the first half that works. but it did not work in my ps2. is there something that i'm doing wrong? i am new to this process so if there is anything to help me, please explain it in the simplist of terms. i really would like to be able to copy all dvds.

Have you tried using DVD X Copy? (Although I heard it wont work with the PS2) Ill check in a minute and tell you...O.k, I tried a "backup" made with DVD X Copy, and my PS2 won't read it. I'll find DVD2one tonight and see if that'll work. By the way, I tried to use DVD Decrypter and then Nero, I found I needed a "middle man" program to make it come out right, everyone says DVD2one is where its at. What did you use? The thing is, with DVD X Copy, it makes its backups on two discs, you might have to include the "menu" or some such file to make it reboot on the second disc. (Or use your DVD Player...$59 bucks at your local Discount House of Fine Electronics)

By the way, I am also using the NEC DVD/CD R/RW. (Dell) Afterdawn has the DVD2one trial version available, that could be your answer. I'll try the thirty minute version and see if it will boot on my PS2. Get back to ou in a couple hours. DVD2one cuts all the BS and just gives you the movie - on one disc!
