swap magic doesn't want to boot!!!

I just put on my flip top and when I put in the swap disc it doesnt boot up, it says disc read error. It will play the regular games but it wont read the swap magic disc, What could be the problem??? My ps2 is a ver 7.

Rebelgirl,

There are a few things that could be the problem:

The magic discs could be faulty, did it work before or is it new? Send them back for replacement if you can.

Your laser might need cleaning (even though you say it reads originals ok, swapmagic is not usually the best made disc and some machines struggle to read it). You can get a lens cleaner from most games stores.

Your laser might need adjustment.
Search the forum or the web for 'ps2 laser adjustment'
