I don't understand what you're asking. Are you getting an error message? What's happening when you try to burn? More details will get you a better response.

Firstly, thanks for replying.

I get the following messages from Nero when i try to burn a CDRW

Unspecified target error
Could not perform Fixation
falling back to disc fixation
Set remaining time: 0:00,000 (0ms) -> OK
Burn process failed at 4x (600 KB/s)

I havnt used the CDR in maybe 2 yrs, is their a way to tell if its just plain broken and cant be fixed?

Hi Daddles,

Question: Do you also get this error if you burn to a cd-r disc? It could be the burner or Nero.

Let's try a few things. If one doesn't work, go the next.
1. Update Nero and update the firmware for your burner. Here's the direct link to your model. Click and download the 1.0s version to install. http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=1405
2. Try uninstalling and reinstalling your burner.
3. Uninstall and reinstall Nero.
4. If all above fails, buy another one. They're REALLY cheap now. Do a test though. If the new burner reports the same error, then it's probably the software. If not, trash the old one.

Let us know the results.
