uhm...this is a new one to me...i've never even HEARD of a "LLG" branded disc before~ ??? that is the ACTUAL name of the company that makes those discs? need a bit more info...:)

or are you talking about you having a "LG" branded burner/drive and you want to burn ONTO a typical DVD-R blank disc?

and NO, burning a ps2 game using your dvd burner will NOT ruin your PS2 laser~ :)

well, i have NEVER heard of putting a burned disc in and a ps2 laser being DAMAGED because you simply put it in... :)

on the other hand, if you are talking about your ps2 NOT being able to PLAY the aforementioned "burned disc" that is a diff. topic entirely...

on your LG drive, may i suggest some GOOD quality media to make your backups on...i do not own a ps2, but, many other members here do...i would STILL suggest you use Taiyo Yuden media/Verbatim media for your backups on that drive...

i believe that the user "alkohol" does game backups too, but, he's in my Taiyo Yuden army and i'm SURE he would suggest you using Taiyo Yuden media for your games. i also remember he has a lot of success using Maxell branded (but must be MADE IN JAPAN) on the spindle wrapper...

so, stick with those 3 brands of blank dvd media and you should be good to go...also, burn games SLOWLY, do not crank up your burner and burn them @ 8x...try 4x or even 2.4x...i'll let the others guide you further as i don't burn games and i probably never will~ :) (reason being i'm not into video game consoles very much and my most recent console is a Sega Dreamcast~ LOL...and when i DID burn games YEARS and YEARS ago, they were on blank CDs...not dvds~ )

I have personally used LG media and found it to be good quality.
I have used the 4x LG DVD-R (LGE04) and the 8x LG DVD-R (Infodisc-r-20) and both gave excellent results.
Very underrated media.
Infodisc has recently built a production facility in South korea and make most of LG's discs there. Infodisc is not the same as infosmart or infomedia.
Infodisc is one of the premier dvdrom manufactures in the world, so chances are they will produce quality blanks.

Wow - a completely different experience to me... just bought a 25 spindle of the 8x LG's. They seem to burn fine, but on verification, EVERY ONE of them is coming up with an average of 40 or more read errors, and playback freezes regularly. These discs SUCK, theyre even worse than the Samsung Pleomax 8x ones i made the mistake of buying a while back.
