Anyone have a Motorola v1050?

Does anyone have a Motorola V1050? I have tried to make the Phone Tools to work on my laptop. I have SP2, and I cannot get anything to download and work. It is pissing me off. Oh, I am also supposed to have an MP3 player, but it is nowhere to be seen. I realize that this phone does not work to its fullest capacities in the U.S., but some of the features are not carrier dependant. Am I just stupid or has anyone ever had any of these problems with their Motorola V1050? It seems to work fine overseas with the features, but never have I been able to make the Motorola Phone Tools work. Appreciate your response,
