Please Help...VDub Mod and Sony Vegas

I do video for a website. I take video from a DVD I record off my tivo and use DVD Decrypter to put it on my hard drive. I then open the vob files in VDub Mod and cut out the parts I need compressing it using Windows Media Video 9 codec and resize it to 320x240 for downloading. I then transfer that over to Sony Vegas 6 where I put everything together. The problem is that now, the audio does not accompany the video when I put it in Vegas, only the video. I have had some luck in the last couple of weeks getting the audio to transfer, but when I do the same thing again, it doesn't work. PLease help me out and let me know what I am doing wrong.

This is a Problem with V-Dub Mod....I get this every time I try to convert VOB to AVI in V-Dub Mod so It is a Bug in the Software....


What don"t you Just Load the Ripped DVD into "Sony Vegas 6" and Do your editing in Vegas Video and render to WMV9 in Vegas Video???

It would be a Lot easier and Save time because you don"t have to convert from VOB to AVI First and you can Do any Resizeing you need to do in Vegas Video 6....

If you don"t know how to Load a Ripped DVD into Vegas Video 6 then let me Know and I"ll tell you how to do it as it is a Little known Trick....

Thanks so much for the reply. Please help me out on this. I loaded the VOB into sony vegas from the folder I decrypted it into using import in vegas. When I put that file in my timeline, it onnly added seconds of the video without sound. I lknow I am doing something wrong.

Is it pretty easy to edit within vegas? I have never tried that. Thanks so much for the help.

To Import a DVD into Vegas Video 6 you first rip the Full DVD to your Hard Drive, then run Vegas Video and go to "file" to "import" to "DVD Camcorder Disk" then in the Top Dropdown menu select "Browse" and then Select the Folder that has the Ripped "Video_TS" Folder in it and then Vegas will Procede to Load all of the VOB files and menu"s ect into Vegas Video and then you can Do your editing from there.....

Editing in Vegas is Fairly easy, Just do most of the Cutting useing the Trimmer and then load the Clips from the Trimmer to the Timeline and to Change the Resolution of your project down to 320x240 or 352x240 just to your Project settings and change the resolution....

PS: you can also do native editing of VOB files in "Womble Mpeg Video Wizard 2005" and after editing you can convert the Files to WMV if you wish....

Thanks for the reply. one problem though. I updated to 6c to have the dvd disc option. The problem is that it will not allow me to open up the folder with the vob files.
