Graphics card necessary for DVD ripping & backup?

I've used DVDShrink and Instantcopy quite a bit and am getting a new laptop (most likely a sony vaio). probably a pentium m 1.73 GHz processor with 512MB RAM (I'll upgrade soon). is it important to get a graphics card (even a basic one like nvidia geforce Go 6400 with 64MB RAM and turbocache) or will the Graphics Media Accelerator 900 built into the CPU work fine?

I don't even know if graphics handling is necessary at all for DVD ripping and shrinking, but I want to make sure I get the right computer...

an in built graphics card or on board as they say will be fine.Its not neccessary to have a brand spanking new graphics card to burn dvds, but i would consider it if i wanted to play games or watch dvd s on my laptop
