could anyone tell me if this is worth it, or are they undependable "coaster producers"?

LOL...i'm in the same boat as my buddy catfreak there, i wouldn't even consider them, they are what you call, "coaster producers"...you answered your own question~! :) good luck in finding some BETTER quality media out there, so many to choose from, take your pick (check my sig...if you want 4x dvd-r, the Taiyo Yudens would be my BEST suggestion) :)

actually, now supermediastore is sending out one of the 3 rated speeds of TYs...you COULD possibly get the TYG01s (4x dvd-r), TYG02s (8x dvd-r), or TYG03s (16x dvd-r)...why they are doing this? i have NO CLUE...but, you might get lucky as so many others have in getting the TYG02s/TYG03s

*as they are MORE expensive than the 4x rated ones that you actually PAY FOR* good luck :)
