How to make PS2 game in to a .PS2 Image

I recently got an emulator, and the emulator says that I need a .PS2 file. So this is what I did, I want to alcohol 120% and made an image file but the file is an .MDF file. I did look in to alcohol and, I want to general options in to data type settings and it did say that you can do something with a PS2 disc type. All I?m asking is give me a program to accomplish this task or give me step by step of how to make a .PS2 file. Peace.
