you remove the magic switch so the ps2 knows you opened it, then replace the pieces.
V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

If you mean reducing the size of the toc, maybe rebuild the game?

I tried lifting the back piece, at which time the screen showed the refresh TOC message. I replaced the disk with a large TOC original DVD and then pushed the back piece down again and it did not work, when I lifted the back piece again the screen showed a message showing that the disk was not a ps2 disk but the disk had not moved (spun up).
Please clarify what I need to do.
thanks.

if you rebuild the game then you shouldn't have to refresh the TOC to begin with
What game is it? It might need to be rebuilt anyhow..

i don't have a slim ps2, but thats how other people do it. Maybe you have to take out all the pieces.
