Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could assist me with a problem I have. Details below:

PS2 Version 12 (slimlime)
PAL version
ALL games are original PS2

I am trying to use my console in the US, which uses the NTSC video mode. I therefore purchased the Swapmagic ver 3.6 together with the Fliptop case in order to get my PAL games to play in NTSC mode. I have installed the magic switch tool / fliptop case and verified that they have been installed correctly. The problem I have is that when I get to the "Load program" screen once Swap magic has booted, I insert the PS2 game disc via the fliptop case and press X to load program and after a few seconds I get the "not a valid PS2 disc" error message. I have tried it with several games - all original PS2 import games.

I have looked through the archived posts and can't find any solutions to this problem.

If anyone is familiar with this, or if indeed you have a fix for this then I would really appreciate your help with this one.

That error usually means that the ps2 knew you put the backup/import in (so something is not installed right).
