My friend recently bought his first dvd burner, a Samsung Sh-w08. He wanted to burn dvds so I told to get dvd drcrypter and dvd shrink. Suppsosedly when he was using one of the programs he got a error message about campatability issues. Hes not sure of which program or any of the specifics. Now his dvd burner is not working at all. It wont read read any discs. It ejects and stuff like that but nothing shows up on the screen. I've told him to update the drivers but that hasnt helped. Does anyone have any ideas ?

sorry about that. Win XP Pro, NTFS, 80 gb Hardrive, 512mb of memory. I hope that helps. He has this old crappy vid card, which he doesnt know the name of, he says it might of been onboard or 32mb or max 64 mb. He has a pentium D.

He just formatted his computer and it still isnt working, I went over an installed an old cdrom so i could format it. Please any ideas ? hes in a pinch.
