The 8x speed Office depot media is made by Ritek. These are excellent, quality media. In fact, maxell uses a lot of riteks media in their media. You can get them for 20 cents each, when on sale.Ritek-R03 and Ritek-g05 are their MID codes.

16x speed Office Depot + discs have been turning up as ricoh-jpn03 and are pretty good.I'll stick with the 8x speed riteks for now.

Office Depot CD-r-? I've never tried them.I don't burn many cds.

Never had a problem with Office Depot CD-R's, my only suggestion is that for music CD's keep the burning speed below 16x as some of the older CD players don't like the faster burning speed. I loved their buy one get two free sales event last summer, still have some as a matter of fact. I've always been a Ritek fan until Saugmon and kivory666 enlightened me to Taiyo Yuden and Fuji MIJ disks. (Thank You guys again)Like Saugmon says stick with the 8X Office Depot disks, you can't go wrong for the price.

Don't know about the CDs but the DVDs are great. Just never seem to be on sale when I'm really ready for them.

I've burned about 350+ OD +8x ritek-r03 with 1 playback coaster! That's about average for all 3 of my benqs. Same rate with with my yuden000-T02/MCC-003/MCC-004/and Maxell-002-00 backups!

I can't complain 1 iota about OD 8x media. For 20-25 cents each when on sale, hard to pass them up.They do perform the same for me as my other media, only time will tell which ones are actually better.

I burned 100 Office Depot DVD+R's last month and nary a coaster. Every single one turned out great. I will buy these anytime that they come up on sale.

No worries mate.
