Somebody told me that I need something called a Mod Chip To back up My ps2 game

No, this well let your ps2 play Back up / copied games.

Note: DVD Decrypter can be downloaded here

To burn PS2 Games.

Put ps2 game in burner drive

Open DVD decryppter

click Mode>ISO>READ

Select the destination of the file

Etract the iso to the hardrive

After its done

Take PS2 game out and put DVD-R into drive

Click Mode > ISO>WRITE

Select the file you just put onto your harddrive
and click burn

You will then have a burnt ps2 game

DNA CODES are to patch the iso to get the copied game onto Online Compatible.

Yes, no need to worry about that if you don't play online.
and since everyone always forgets to mention this.
Swap Magic alone will not play back up games. You need Swap Magic
and one other mod like a slidecard (old PS2)
aftermarket flip top (old PS2 or new PSTwo)
slimtool/magic switch/ghost switch (new PSTwo)

Even if I manage to download this program and back up my games. Will I still need this mod chip or will just copying the PS2 work?
