I have a backup DVD of NFSMW, so when it starts, there is a screen where you choose between PAL, NTSC and NTSC+Y-FIX.

The only one the centers the screen is the PAL mode, but it seems that the frequency is in 50 Hz, so the movies speed and the game speed is not normal, as it seems.

I would like to know if there is a way to remove that mode select screen and make the game run perfectly at 60 Hz...

So, can you help me convert this thing to NTSC 60 Hz and make it work without extending the image on the screen ?

Ok so where is this mode select screen? I use Swap Magic and that the only mode select i get. When the game boots it goes directly into the NFS logo then EA logo then beginning scene. I believe i need to select a different mode but when i select anything other than NTSC the game screen scrolls. However when i do select NTSC the screen is misaligned. So where is this illusive mode select screen in the game?

watch who is posting and you won't get confuse WEStar. On mine there is no select screen. Does the select screen come up on only PAL ver. or NTSC ver.? I believe mine is PAL and it doesnt come up.

It sounds like diegommc got a version with a selector installed to the backup file. I have the PAL version, which I converted to NTSC. Although the picture isnt a perfect fit there is a way to adjust the screen position in game. My picture comes in pretty good right now although there is some lines cut at the top and bottom. This is negligible, however, and probably could be fixed, but I am way to lazy to try. Anyway, azekial there is no version with a NTSC PAL selector in game (at least I haven't seen one). Diegommc, I'm pretty sure you'll always have some lost picture when u switch to NTSC to PAL. If u need to minimize it, and there is a selector installed u might need to get a new version of the backup.
