It may be possible that you are trying to play it with DTS. Not all DVD Players and setups can handle this sound format. Make sure you are playing it with the Dolby sound.

I'm having the same problem and the DTS settings is not selected. I've requested help from their tech support with no support what so ever from them. Also when i can manage to get sound, it's mono and not surround sound. Any ideas?

Are you trying to play it on your PC or DVD player? I do not usually play a DVD on a PC, but it should work just like a DVD Player. You would have to set the audio from the DVD Software.

There could also be some type of Windows settings or sound card settings to do, but I would not know anything about that.

If it is on your DVD Player, make sure that everything is connected properly (there is no reason to get mono on a TV). Also, make sure you have the proper audio selected on the DVD in the audio menu. When you compress the movie, you have to also make sure you keep either the Dolby 5.1 or Dolby 2.0.

If you want to use the DTS, you will need a DTS decoder somewhere in your setup. If you have a surround system (or home theater), you will not have a problem, but if you only use the TV speakers then there will not be any audio. Also, for a PC you will need a sound card that can decode DTS.
