Got this Ps2 slimline used and dont know how to set up the network adapter. Do I need some kind of set up disc?

Did you get a setup disc with your console? if not either go to the official sony site and get one or find a game that has a setup thing not sure how to find out, other than trying them.

pretty much all online games have a network setup section just use that.

Maybe you have a Firewall, Check the official PS2 Site for more info on how to foward Port's on your router
