Hey people,
I want to play burnout revenge online with my swapmagic 3.3
I found alot of tutorials but i don't understand how to patch the dnas thing?
I have the software but i don't know how to use the disc utillity cd and how go further from there?
Do i need the original burnout revenge to get the code/numbers?
So can someone like explain it to me really simple and not in 50 steps like all those other tuts.

Hey sniper thanx for the site..but i couldn't find anything...only this kind of stuff:

What i'm supposed to do with this?
I just wanna know if i need a original game to get the disc ID?
And how to go further from there!

Disc ID = XX XX 07 40 44
This is the PAL Code for Burnout: Revenge, For the full id. REPLACE THE [xx xx] with Letters / Numbers.
Numbers from 1-9
Letters from A-F
EG -
Burnout: Revenge - PAL/UK (SLES_535.07)
(Size = 4,247,764 Bytes)
Disc ID = G6 A3 07 40 44
Heres a guide on how to patch Online Games.
Patch games with WinDIP 1.7 or any of the other patches on this page
WinDIP 1.7
If you dont have the disc ID you need to eather look it up on my forum HERE or find it your self by clicking HERE
The disc Id your patching the game with must be from the original disc
Step 1.) Open WinDIP and "Select Image File" (the game .iso or what ever other format you have it in).
Step 2) After That, Click Scan File. This Will Scan The .Iso or whatever the file is for DNA Files. Then Click Verify Version.
Step 3) Then You Must enter the Disc ID to the Game and Hit Patch. Then Hit OK Then Burn.
Your game has been patched successfully

thanx 3dluis for the tut..but i don't own a original copy of burnout revenge...is there another way to generate the first 4 numbers?
I only have the NTSC burnout revenge backup!
So do i need a NTSC DISC ID or can i also use the pal ID?
I found the NTSC Version

DNAS ID : XX XX 02 30 BC
So what now without the original game?
So i guess it stops here right?

MAn THAT IS THE CODE. EXCEPT you replace the XX XX with letters / numbers
Numbers 1-9
Letters - A -F
So when you patch with Windip you put a random numbers/alphebitacal numbers for the first 2 than put the 02 30 BC
EG-
A3 F2 02 30 BC
NO NEED FOR THE ORIGINAL

Ok sorry dude...i misunderstood you..my bad.hehehe.
Well 1 more question!
i have the iso and the mds file in my map on my pc..the filesize is 2.567.680 kb.
when i use the windip do i have 2 choose the mds or just the iso file?

Hey i patched the iso file but..i don't know if it went right.
Image File 'G:\ps2 games\burnout revenge\DVDIMAGE.ISO' (1 part, 2507Mb, 2048 bytes/sector).
The following files have been located for possible patching:-
DNAS300.IMG;1, DNAS280.IMG;1, IOPRP280.IMG;1, IOPRP300.IMG;1, IOPRP300.IMG;1,
'DNAS300.IMG;1' is being scanned... UN-PATCHED, unverified (Offset 0x0002AC1C).
'DNAS280.IMG;1' is UN-PATCHED, it matches patch (280A).
'IOPRP280.IMG;1' is being scanned... No match found.
'IOPRP300.IMG;1' is being scanned... No match found.
'IOPRP300.IMG;1' is being scanned... No match found.
'DNAS300.IMG;1' has been PATCHED with (A3:F2:02:30:BC).
'DNAS280.IMG;1' has been PATCHED with (A3:F2:02:30:BC).
I used the code u made earlier: A3 F2 02 30 BC
Is that good?
I'm missing 1 more DNAS280.IMG. There are 3 scans but 2 are patched...is that good?
I don't wanna burn the game and be banned forever when i'm trying 2 go online ....or is that not possible to be banned forever?

Yes thats all correct on your second to last post u do patch the mds which is the game. And what you have patched is correct. Now with dvd decrypter just burn it and your all set. You know mode>iso>write. Set speed at 4x. Load it up with swap magic and you should be fine. Also you will not be banned it will only give you a dnas error, and that says you did something wrong. And if you get on and it says your dnas id is banned just make another copy but change the first 4 digits again. You won't be banned forever.

Ok that's a relief...i thought i would be banned 4ever!
But the 4 first digits...can i just make up some letter and number combo's...or is there some kind of generator that generates the numbers/letters for me?

Hey the game plays but when i'm trying to connect the dnas server it says

Region Error

Hmm you prolly dont have the right id. Yea if you are a PAL user you'll want to start over and use this id XX XX 01 40 FC and remember just fill in the x's using letter A-F, numbers 0-9. Example you could fill in A7 0B 01 40 FC. Just keep the last six digits the same. So start all over because your PAL, and patch it using the dnas id xx xx 01 40 FC. If you need more help just ask.

This is the reason why i'm getting that damn error:
Is there any way to play a USA game on-line using a PAL console?
YES. When logging on the server, both the Disc ID and the Machine
IDs are authenticated. The Machine ID includes a REGION algorithm
so that PAL consoles can only connect to PAL lobby servers for
on-line play of a PAL title. Attempting to play an NTSC (US/JAP) title
on-line with a PAL PS2 console will result in an -833 DNA$ error even
when the LEGAL back-up is properly patched... this is due to the
Machine ID authentication that also occurs when connecting on-line.
With the above stated, YES using the PS2 Machine ID Changer. ;)

edit: just found out this doesnt work fort the ps2 slim, which i have. no chance here
I think i'll have 2 download a PAL version of burnout and try the PAL patch. Hopefully it will work then!

Lol Good Luck Man sorry i couldnt reply,, i had to sleep, good luck with your future backups. And yes, make sure all the games you downloladd/buy are PAL if you want to go online
BTW, If you want need for speed most wanted,
for some reason it isnt online compatible so im sorry :P
