I brought my 5 daughters and wife to see it. We all enjoyed it, although some of it I felt was predictable. I'm 42 and enjoy it, but were it not for the kids, I would wait for DVD. My daughters have read all the books. My 11 year old, did cover her eyes on a couple of scary scenes. There was few tense moments. Enjoy.

I am a little confused, you are going to let your kids see it on DVD and not at the movie theater. Even kids are allowed in a movie theaters as long as an adult is present with them, except for porn.

@Robk9 - cheers, for the reply, you prompted me to lookup the relevant ratings for the UK, i honestly didn't know an adult could take kids under 12 to a 12-rated film (i probably did know once, but i have goldfish memory). the only films i've ever taken my kids to at the cinema, have been 'U' or PG..
cheers - i now know i can take them to see the new Harry Potter film after all.
..and i've bookmarked the ratings site for when i next forget the ratings LOL - http://www.bbfc.co.uk

Perhaps, I mis-stated my point. "I" would have waited for DVD, but all of my kids wanted to see it (ages 11-19), we will see it again on DVD, when it comes out. It's not "in your face" scary, just high anxiety at some moments and scary villians/creatures. The PG-13 is for scary moments, not for words, nudity, sexual situations(although Harry and Myrtle, the ghost, nearly have a scene in the hot tub, Harry was uncomfortable). Go see it, it's fun.

I saw it and loved it.
But for 2 1/2 hours it seems they still cut a ton from the book.

film was small disappointment, perhaps i waited too much ? but fortunately each has own opinion. many critic has given three-five star to the film. into question is howewer quality film. in other words film is not rubbish film.
