I saw the color bar at the bottom part of the screen on the Clone DVD 2 when choosing deleting the uselesss language, AC2, subtitles etc. But even if I just keep the English language and subtitles + AC 3/2, the arrow is just at the middle, no close to the green ber at tall.
Does this mean that the DVD copy burn out is of a lower quality standard than the original DVD? How can I make an exact copy of the original DVD without loosing data or resolution?

Truthfully, you can not (unless you are using a Dual layer burner and discs). Cutting out just the soundtracks that are not needed, and or subs is not enough to allow a backup that is not compromised in some fashion. Original DVDs contain much more data than will fit on the normal single layer DVD which 90 percent of us use.

That being said, clonedvd 2 will have to compress the video in order to "fit" these discs and some video quality is lost. Frankly I make 1:1 backups all the time and I can not tell much difference, and I doubt you will either. You can "reduce" the amount of compression of your back up by only backing up the "MOVIE" to your blank without the extras, and without the menu structure etc. and just go directly to movie play (as that will be the only thing on the backup). however, you will STILL have compression unless you are using DL blanks and using a DL recorder.

@michaelhk

Burn a sample and watch it. I think that you will be suprised at the quality. CloneDVD2 really does well.

Cheers.
