After many attempts I was able to make a back up copy of Sky High .Thanks to all here on this forum who helped with their advice.
I first ran it through DVD dycripter then through VOBblanker then through shrink. I had trouble at fist with VOBblanker so I downloaded it a second time and it worked just fine.
I was wondering if there would be any reason to have AnyDVD in the future or would VOBblanker fulfill all my needs?
Anyhow thanks to all who helped me.

If you have AnyDVD why not just use it? It works great for me. I've never had to use VOBblanker yet.

If you are looking for an excellent free ripper might I suggest DVDFab decrypter. Available at http://www.filepedia.com or from this forums software page. Regularily updated for newer type encryptions.

With this you would not have to use VOBblanker either.

P.S. AnyDVD is excellent and well worth the money. Lifetime updates and keeps current updates faster than any other.

I have DVDfab and used it when I tried to back up Sky High. I couldn't do it with that one and thats why I used VOBblanker which allowed me to back it up.

Hey Rick6. Just a newbie like you who resisted buying AnyDVD when freeware out there. Got to say however if you are serious about backing up you movies you should seriously consider getting AnyDVD. I took the advice of those wiser and with more experience and "bit the bullet" and bought AnyDVD and CloneDVD2 package. Really happy with AnyDVD and use with Decryter then Shrink or CloneDVD2 before burning with Nero. Looking at what happened to Lightning UK it could happen to all the other brave souls who are at the mercy of BIG BROTHER. Slysoft it appears is protected (for now) from having the scum sucking bottom feeders (lawyers) come after them. Some of the other "free" ways of ripping and burning are still a little complicated for me. Took a stab at VOBblanker but was a little confused so as I said I got AnyDVD and have been happy with it. For some of us less technically gifted I like the old addage KISS (keep it simple stupid!). Best to all and thanks for the advice at AD, it ROCKS!
