Hiya there,
I just burned the ISO of couple hundred SNES ROMs I found in Joh's Tracker, and I've ran the emulator + ROM perfectly fine, the thing is, ALL the games there refused to detect my 2nd GC controller..
Anyone have the same problem ? Or is there any way that you have to go trought first to setup your 2nd controller ? Because on the pad configuration menu, there's only one controller visible to be re-mapped..
cheers,

Did you use the newest snes98x version 0.0.3?. or the version that was supplied with that compilation pack 0.0.1?. Version 0.0.1 has a bunch of bugs

yea, I'm pretty sure it is version 0.0.1 ... the thing is I've read the readme and stuff, and I don't understand how to "inject" ROMs into the SNES9X and how to make a DOL out of it..
I've got the latest SNES9XGX I think ( 0.0.3 ) but I've no idea of how to use it whatsoever..
you seem quite experienced, Shadow82, any help you can share.. ?

you need to inject a SNES ROM ".smc" using the sgxi.exe, and you must use the DOS command prompt
so get sgxi.exe, and put in the root of C:\,and the rom in "rom.smc" C:\ for example using megamanx.smc, goto rum type "cmd" then "cd.." to go back to c:\, once at c:\ type "sgxi.exe megamanx.smc megamanx.dol" then it will make that a DOL, then burn it onto a DVD with less then 1.35GB
Have fun

Its not too much of a hassle at all. The SNES98x GC port is excellent and the 4 player support is great too, NBA JAM!!. I made DOL files to save the people here trouble.
nes.dol made with FCEUultra 1.0.8
snes.dol made with SNES98x 0.0.3

Just replace these with your old ones and your good to go!!. Even better if you have a qoob pro, flash these dols to qoob memory and now you don't have to reburn a dvd everytime a new version comes out.

holy s**t.. Shadow, you're a life saviour ! =)
anywayz to make things clear, to "inject" the ROMs using the sgxi.exe you have to do it one by one, so if you have like, say, 1000 ROMs then you have to repeat it 1000 times.. ? *confused*

Only one rom needs injecting. The ROM is the dol file that I'm providing. This snes98x injects the emulator into this rom thus turning it into a DOL application emulator for the cube. So this is how your DVD structure will look when burnt. Not every rom needs injecting, in fact, you leave the smc or nes extension as is. DON'T change them to dols:)
Root folder=ROMS
In the root folder you will put the snes.dol file or nes.dol or both if your planning to burn a compilation of both nes and snes games like I did. Then you will make two seperate folders called NES and SNES keeping those in the root folder also.
Btw, snes98x 0.0.4 was just released. Please download the new dol file here. Remember the dol file for snes98x is named as "snes.dol".

Or here's an easier way to understand through this screenshot. Here you can see the main folder is "ROMS" and in that folder you'll find the two dols and two folders which contain nes and snes roms. This is how you will burn it to dvd. Remember, when burning to use the type 2 long joliet filename option in nero or whatever program your using.
