Tried to backup Call of Duty and Ghost Recon 2 using instrux from Black Ice and Digital9x. Everything looked good during the build but the Console still says to put in a PS2 format disk and will not kick off. I didn't see any files called 'dummy' but maybe there are some bogus files with different names? I am using Verbatim DVD+R, Plextor PX 712-A drive @4x. I tested the Verbatim media by playing a movie I backed up and it played fine in the PS2. Any thoughts? I was really surprised by the other player's comments about how the backups were successful first time.
Here's an idea : get a modchip (DMS 4 Pro or Matrix Infinity), Swapmagic with a fliptop or slidecard, or check out http://www.exploitstation.com/index.php?page=faq , cause without at least 1 of those 3, you CANNOT play backups.
