Can anyone help ? I am using Verbatim DVD+R dvd's and dvd decryptor with shrink. No problems for the past 8 months. Then two days ago, dvd shrink tells me the movie failed to burn at 8x. I throw the dvd away because it is useless and try anther disc. Same movie burns the next time. Try another movie, same thing, fails to burn at 8x. Do nothing different but put another disc in and try it a second time and it works. I am pretty much a novice at this so any help is appreciated.

Slow down the burn speed to 4x.
4x is par for the majority of us.Fewer issues.

You could try unistalling the programs and reinstalling them seems to work most of the time.

If I may suggest, reboot after each burn and see if your problem goes away?
