Hi,

A friend of my wife's has a HI8 camera that she bought while in the U.S (not knowing about diff. video formats here in Ireland).

She realises (now) that there is a significant format problem but I am wondering if she bought a PAL format HI8 tape - woudl she be able to record onto that as the cam is NTSC? Whaddya think?

I am capturing onto my PC to get the existing footage onto a PAL VHS for her (Wedding & Christening)but that only solves her current problem - she needs to be able to do this herself without relying on me going forward. Any ideas folks woudl be greatly appreciated.
