Exactly what is auto install deluxe? Some one else said that he used it to fix softmod?

I used it to Softmod my XBox. It can also be used with HardMods. It is a menu driven utility for installing applications and dashboards on your modified xbox.
You can replace your standard XBox (empty tray) dashboard with several alternate dashboards. The best IMHO is XBMC (XBox Media Center). This dashboard allows your XBox to perform many PC like funcitons. You can use the FTP Server to allow your PC to copy files to and from your XBox, stream Audio and Video from your PC to the XBox, listen to internet radio stations (assuming you connect your xbox via an ethernet cable to your lan).

wow, thats cool. But the only problem is i can't softmod my xbox. How can I use this tool to softmod?

I believe the AID2 ISO includes a PDF with detailed instructions on this, but the short of it is, you must have an early copy of Mech Assault, 007: Agent Under Fire, or Splinter Cell. These games have a security hole that the softmod exploits to install a hack. When Microsoft found out about the hack, they patched these games on subsequent releases.
Anyway, you also need a corresponding hacked 'game save file', which is included in AID2 or available seperately. The tricky part is getting this game save onto your XBox. If you have a friend with a hacked box, they can transfer the file via FTP to a memory card and give it to you. Apparently, it only works with some brands of memory cards. I have seen where you can buy memory cards with the hacked game saves already installed. Other methods include, buying memory card that has a USB adapter, so you can copy the game saves from your PC directly to the memory card.
With hacked game save on memory card, you can transfer the save to you XBox hard drive via the Microsoft Dashboard that comes up when you have no disk in the drive. Once the hacked game save has been transfered to your XBox HD, run your game of choice, load the hacked game save. This loads the SID dashboard, which in turn allows you to install various other applications and dashboard replacements. This also replaces startup code on the XBox HD so that it will now recognize and boot to burned disks such as AID2.
FYI: XBoxes come with about 3 different brands of DVD-ROM drives, with varying disk compatibilities. DVD-R seems to be the most compatible, though CD-R works with some. So when you burn your AID2 ISO or whatever, some trial and error may be required.
Google "XBOX SoftMod" for more detailed instructions.
Also: There are several different variations on the SoftMod exploit. There are 'font' exploits and 'audio' exploits. Each has its pros and cons. The one included with AID2 (SID3) is the only one I have used. I have had no problems with it.

when ever i try to load the lunix intsller on splintcell, it goes to a black screen and stays there. i pick load game, then check point as the totorial said. its just 1 simple black screen. and when i try the other way it says your xbox needs repair.
BTw im using splintercell platnium version....can i soft mod with this

Haven't tried the Splinter Cell hack, but I read where you can only have the hack saves for that game, any other splinter cell saves on your drive will mess it up.
You might try the Slayer Installer that bagong is looking for. Again, I don't know anything about it though.
