Hi,
Hope someone can help me.
I have been trying to copy from analogue video camera to dvd. I am using external xpert dvdmaker. I have no problem copying both sound and video except that while its copying/converting its also picking up external sounds eg...phone ringing... I have worked out its picking up the sound from the video camera...All the plugs are in correct.
I have wasted lots of DVD's so need help please.

the camera is plugged into the xpert dvdmaker(external capture and converter) ie Video and Audio plugs into the dvdmaker then from the dvdmaker ther is a line in and usb connection. I get all the audio from the tape but the problem is I also get other external noises.
I worked out it is coming from the microfilm built into the camera.
Tried everything...HELP

when you capture audio and video it goes to the hard drive first right?? if this is correct so you can check if the audio is good before take it to a dvd disc.
in the program that i have (neodvd)has the option to choose the audio connector like:
-mono mix
-stereo mix
-aux/line in 2
-cd/video in
-line in
-microphone
-phone line
did you already check that??

if you have xp . try the windows movie maker this program let you record the audio and video in the hard drive.
also Nero express if you have it try it too. i prefer Nero express.
because lets you record in diferents formats like :dvd, VCD, mpg, etc

Worked out the problem...thought I would share it just in case someone else comes across this stupid problem.
The external noise was being picked up from the built-in microphone on the web-cam. Unplugged it and works perfect.
Thanks for all the help.
