HI fellows .. i took my slim ps2 to a gamestore near by and this chinese guy told me dont take a risk on mod chipp'n you slim ps2 it might crash so ... i told him how about the old one he goes am sellin a used old ps2
and i told him ok a'll buy it and can u mod chip it for me and he goes ok ... so i paid him about 200$$ and he said some after a week ... so after a week i had the old ps2 chipped .... and at the store the guy explain me some weird stuff as in when i put in a coped ps2 dvd(cd) i pop in the cd and hold the reset buttom until it turns red .. then press it again and when it turns green the ps2 copy cd will work .. so i did the as he said when i came home .... now the problem is ... the games is showin black and white ... i tryed everything but all the coped games i play they show plack and white ... when i put in the orignal cd .. i bought bulletproof it was workin fine all clear and color when i play the burned copy it shows black n white .....

any way i can fix the problem ...
or i go smack the chinese guy and take back my money ;)

i juz noticed that all the games i burned where PAL .. but still when u chip your ps2 it should detect PAL and NTSC
am trying to burn a NTSC game hope fully it works ...

something still work ... after the play station 2 sign comes ... it wount load .. stays black .... nothing shows ...

Here in north Europe, we fix that problem by buying an RGB cable. It's that easy.

It's true that when you chip a system that both PAL and NTSC games work but, this doesn't mean youre TV will accept the PAL signal and properly display it. So one thing comes to mind with what you said so far that being the games that show up black and white are PAL games that were patched to NTSC but, they weren't patched properly (you did say they were PAL games)

perfect .. i juz made the NTSC games work ... still having problems with PAL ... i havent tried the rgb cable .. as soon as i get that i will let you know is it worked .. if not you guys have to tell me another way to work these games

Never heard of using an RGB cable before... How does that work? If the PS2 still broadcasting color images, but the frequency difference makes regular sets only pick up black and white?
