When you say non-original do you mean a homebrew game or retail version downloaded from the net ??

i barely understand the question.

As far as copying an xbox game there are a few ways.
1. FTP it from your xbox to your PC. Use something
like Craxtion4 or Qwix to transfer it and create an ISO to burn.
Or FlashFXP to transfer then one of the above to create the ISO.

2.if you have a chip in the xbox and have installed a bigger hard drive, which is the best way to go, then you can use a program like
DVD2Xbox. stick the disc in the xbox and copy it strait to the hard drive on the xbox. Then at any time you can transfer the files to the PC and use Craxtion or something to create and ISO and burn to disc so you have a back up.

Once you have created an ISO then you can use any DVD burning program you like, DVD DEcrypter,Nero,Alcohol 120% and so on.

One last note is that you can not transfer an ISO file from the
PC to the xbox hard drive. That is only for burning to a disc.
for transfering to the hard drive you would need to extract the ISO and transfer the folder that contains the games files.

then you will have to FTP the game to your PC
Then turn the files into an ISO
you can do this with Craxtion4 or Qwix
I think those will create an ISO as it FTP's
if not then FTP the files and use one of those to
create an ISO for you out of the files.
Then burn he ISO to DVD

If the file on the DVD you have is an ISO then you may just be
able to make a back up of that discs, which i have not tried yet
so do not know if it will work or not. I know the DVD Burner will not read and original, but a back up is usually an ISO so it
should be able to copy that.
